FaCT Anchor Groups
FaCT was founded 11 years ago at East Shore Unitarian Universalist Church in Mentor, OH. We are the oldest interfaith nonprofit organization in Ohio. Our purpose has always been to engage communities in ongoing efforts to protect our air, water, and soil. Fact works collaboratively through education, advocacy, and action to address environmental threats by:
~promoting environmental justice and sustainable lifestyles
~encouraging individual and community action
~providing educational tools and opportunities
~working to influence policy and decision making at a state and local level
~fostering collaborative partnerships
FaCT’s network of Anchor Groups across the state help us achieve our shared goal of environmental justice. We encourage you to join our network!
Fact Anchor Groups have access to a range of resources and support materials, including books, promotional flyers, newsletters, podcasts and videos. FaCT Anchors benefit from capacity building, networking, and publicizing through FaCT’s website, our newsletter, and both statewide and local events. FaCT Anchors have access to FaCT Ohio’s name and logo on signboards and other materials such as letterheads and brochures. Anchor Groups meet regularly to share resources and ideas and to support each other.
