The Earth is at the same time mother, She is mother of all that is natural, Mother of all that is human, She is mother of all, for contained in her are the seeds of all.
Hildegard was born in 1098 and died in 1179. She was known as a medieval mystic and healer, composer of music, herbalist, and preacher, who called for reform in the chrch.
Hildegard's convent at Disibodenberg elected her as magistra (mother superior) in 1136. She founded the monasteries of Rupertsberg in 1150 and Eibingen in 1165. Hildegard wrote theological, botanical, and medicinal works,[5] as well as letters, hymns, and antiphons for the liturgy.
